The hub will focus on Filipino-language models and hire locally over the next twelve months.

MANILA, 12 October 2026 — Acme Labs today opened an AI research hub in Bonifacio Global City, its first in Southeast Asia. The team of 40 engineers will build language models for Filipino and regional languages, working with three local universities.

"Most models still treat Filipino as an afterthought," said Maria Santos, head of the hub. "We want to build them here, with people who speak it."

Hiring starts this month. Roles are listed at acmelabs.example/careers.
