NEWS | RayNeo has unveiled two new AR glasses lines built for completely different jobs. The iO Smart Glasses are made for all-day wear and quick heads-up tasks, while the GT Series, which includes the GT and GT Max, is built for watching movies and gaming on a giant virtual screen. Both lines go on sale September 4.
RayNeo is backed by TCL Electronics and currently holds the largest share of the global consumer AR glasses market, at nearly a quarter of all shipments in early 2026. The company also serves as an AR glasses partner for the Olympics, giving it a wider stage than most wearable tech makers.
Instead of building one device that tries to do everything, RayNeo split the job in two. The iO weighs just 33 grams and is designed to disappear into daily life, offering real time translation across more than 50 languages and quick glanceable notifications for people juggling multiple screens. The GT Max goes the opposite direction, projecting a virtual screen as large as 307 inches with support for Dolby Vision, aimed at travelers and entertainment fans who want a personal theater experience anywhere.
BMN's view is that this dual launch signals AR glasses are moving past the novelty phase and into specialized daily tools, which could put pressure on laptop makers and portable monitor brands as much as on rival AR companies. Pricing for both lines is still unannounced, and that number will likely decide how fast either device catches on outside of tech enthusiasts.
Would you trade your laptop screen or your phone for a pair of glasses that does the job instead?
