IoT Conference Philippines and the inaugural AI Philippine Expo to bring business leaders, government, innovators, and developers together in November
MANILA, Philippines — From factories that can anticipate equipment failures to buildings that use energy more efficiently, technologies that once seemed confined to science fiction are increasingly finding practical applications in everyday business and urban life.
Artificial intelligence (AI) and the Internet of Things (IoT) are at the center of this transformation. While AI helps analyze information and identify patterns, IoT connects physical objects, machines, and infrastructure to collect data from the real world. Working together, they can help organizations make faster, better-informed decisions.
This convergence, known as the Artificial Intelligence of Things (AIoT), will take center stage at the 4th Internet of Things Conference Philippines and the inaugural AI Philippine Expo on November 10–11, 2026, at Megatrade Halls 1–3 of SM Megamall in Mandaluyong City.
Organized by Packetworx, Inc. and Redwizard Events, with the Philippine AI Business Association as co-organizer, the two-day gathering is expected to draw more than 6,000 attendees under the theme “Shaping the Next Era of Intelligent Business and Cities.”
Beyond showcasing emerging technologies, the event aims to bring together the people who can turn these innovations into practical solutions—from enterprise decision-makers and government agencies to technology providers, researchers, startups, educators, and developers.
From collecting data to making better decisions
The value of connected technology lies not simply in gathering more information, but in using that information to solve problems.
In manufacturing, connected sensors can monitor machinery and help identify warning signs before equipment breaks down. In logistics, real-time tracking can improve visibility across supply chains. In commercial buildings, monitoring systems can help manage electricity consumption, while smart-city applications can support more informed decisions about infrastructure and public services.
AI adds another layer to these capabilities by analyzing the information generated by connected devices, identifying patterns, and helping organizations anticipate what may happen next. “AI provides intelligence, whilst IoT provides real-world awareness. Together, they turn data into timely, predictive, and actionable solutions for businesses, cities, and communities,” said Arnold Bagabaldo, chief executive officer of Packetworx, Inc.
For organizations considering digital transformation, the challenge is increasingly about determining which technologies can deliver meaningful results, how they can be integrated into existing operations, and what capabilities are needed to use them responsibly.
These questions will inform discussions at this year's conference and expo, which will cover applications across manufacturing, logistics and supply chain, financial services, healthcare, energy, retail, micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), and smart cities.
Bringing technology closer to business
One of the event's central features is the inaugural AI Philippine Expo, which will run alongside the IoT conference and connect AI providers and innovators with businesses exploring digital adoption.
The combined platform reflects a growing need to bring technology developers and prospective users into the same conversation. For companies, an exhibition can offer an opportunity to assess solutions, compare capabilities, and better understand how emerging tools might address operational needs.
The event will also feature a Business-to-Business (B2B) Café, a curated business-matching and executive networking platform designed to connect technology providers with potential customers, partners, investors, and decision-makers.
Practical learning will complement these business connections. Workshops for business leaders, educators, and marketers will explore how AI can be applied across professional roles, while a LoRaWAN masterclass will examine a communications technology used in large-scale IoT deployments.
Connecting research with real-world needs
The convergence of AI and IoT also creates opportunities for closer collaboration among government, industry, and academic institutions.
Research organizations can contribute scientific expertise and technological development, while enterprises can identify practical challenges and provide environments in which solutions can be tested and applied.
Dr. Franz A. de Leon, director of the Department of Science and Technology–Advanced Science and Technology Institute (DOST-ASTI), said the simultaneous staging of the conference and expo provides opportunities for engagement among these sectors.
“For a government R&D institution like ours, events like this provide valuable opportunities to engage with industry, enterprises, and the academe. They allow us to exchange best practices, share knowledge, and strengthen our networks,” de Leon said.
He added that such engagements could help foster greater understanding and adoption of AIoT technologies while creating opportunities to translate research and innovation into practical solutions for community challenges.
Making room for the next generation of innovators
While enterprise adoption is a major focus, the conference and expo will also provide opportunities for students, developers, and technology communities to demonstrate their work and engage with industry.
Activities will include packetHacks, an IoT-based hackathon, and Build Off: Business Edition, a low-code competition. Show and Tell sessions, Developer Spotlights, and live demonstrations will further highlight applications and initiatives from technology communities and associations.
These activities underscore another important part of the digital transformation equation: talent.
“We want enterprise leaders to discover solutions they can apply to their businesses, while giving developers, students, and technology communities opportunities to showcase their work and connect with industry,” said Maria Raisa Helga Ysaac-Orbon, chief marketing officer of Packetworx, Inc.
“Bringing these groups together helps build the talent, partnerships, and practical applications needed to grow the Philippines’ AI and IoT ecosystem,” she added.
The program will feature experts and advocates from the LoRa Alliance®, the Philippine AI Business Association, and other local and international technology organizations.
Turning possibilities into practical progress
The convergence of these technologies offers opportunities to improve operational efficiency, strengthen decision-making, enhance customer experiences, and support more sustainable use of resources. Realizing those benefits, however, will require investment, collaboration, appropriate governance, and a clear understanding of the needs each solution is intended to address.
Elaine Cedillo, founder of Redwizard Events and overall event organizer, said the program is designed to combine learning with meaningful business connections.
“We want participants to understand what these technologies can do, learn how they apply to their industries, and connect with people who can help them move forward,” Cedillo said.
By bringing enterprise leaders, researchers, technology providers, and emerging innovators together, the 4th Internet of Things Conference Philippines and the first AI Philippine Expo aim to help bridge the gap between technological possibility and practical adoption.
The event is supported by Supermicro, in partnership with Browan Communications, Inc., PLDT Enterprise, Powermac, Philcom, Nextbit by UAS, Murata, Tensei Philippines, Sencolink, and AMD Ryzen PRO and Radeon AI PRO. It is endorsed by DOST-ASTI and the LoRa Alliance®.
